Let me just start by saying that I loved absolutely everything about this wedding!! I'll do my best to contain my excitement, but I have so much to share so bear with me!
Cindy was an absolute delight to work with. As one of Josie's relatives, we were so excited to add our own personal touch this is beautiful event. We provided Cindy with a glimpse into our artistic style by designing the centerpieces at her shower. These little white beauties instilled the confidence that Cindy would be in good hands with Bloom!
I can honestly say, Cindy was every florists dream bride; her easy-going and open-minded approach made her such a pleasure to work with. She made it very clear to us that she had limited floral knowledge and was open to any suggestions we had. Her only request was that the end result be "unique" and have a memorable "wow" factor. Having been to a plethora of weddings in her time, it was Cindy's turn to be remembered. We're confident that a lasting impressions was made! With the assistance of her sister-in-law, we created a unique and romantic platform to work from which totally complimented Cindy's personality.
Like most brides, Cindy loved bling!! So, as you can likely imagine ... we added sparkle to everything! Cindy's bouquet was an opulent, monochromatic assortment of roses, freesia and mini cymbidium orchid with each orchid center embellished with a sparkly surprise. You know when you hand a bride her bouquet and she wells up that you've likely accomplished your mission ~ success! Its these moments that keep us in this business - its a warm and fuzzy feeling that I can't begin to put into words, it just makes my heart smile.
Each attendant carried a lovely bouquet of soft yellow and white roses with mini cymbidium orchids and large white mums. In keeping consistent with our "bling" theme, floral shaped crystals were added to the centers of each mum. So simple, yet so pretty. Each flowergirl carried a darling floral "lollipop"!! Loved these!!

When we returned at the end of the night to pick up our rentals, Cindy and Petar were ripping up the dance floor! There was no stopping this party! It was awesome to see the bride and groom just taking in every moment to its fullest!!
We thank you both for you including us in your beautiful journey into newlywed. All the best to you on your continued journey together.
This beautiful couple slected Cecil Green as their wedding venue. The elegant mansion combined with outstanding panoramic views of the cityscape created an ideal location to celebrate the start to this happily-ever-after.
Michelle had a very clear vision that incorporated a westcoast feel with a sophisticated, modern "fun-and-flirty" flair. We achieved this vision by incorporating a minimalist approach with a dramatic effect. Using fresh local products including orchids, callas, lilies and peonies we complimented the brides ideas and provided a few pleasant surprises as well.
Michelle carried a stunning fragrant bouquet of gardenias, stephanotis, roses, orchids and peonies. Her request for her bridal attenants was something "fresh and youthful, yet classic" ~ so we surprised her with a classic bouquet of fresh local callas and cymbidium orchids compliments with flirty bear grass loops. The flower girls carried a simple, classic calla lily bouquet finished with a dragonfly keepsake.
The groom wore a classic phelonops orchid which the couple kindly shared had very special meaning in their relationship ~ an orchid plant was the first gift that Michael had given Michelle, hence the reason orchids played an integral part in tying together the arrangments and centerpieces.
Submerging orchids in water magnified the vibrant colors in the orchids adding a contemporary yet playful addition to each table. This long lasting centerpiece was a hit!
The photos below capture a few of our favorite moements (special thanks to both Morgaine from Pure Light Studios and my friend Jason McManus for capturing these shots).
With only a few short months to iron out the details of the floral requirements, Bloom aslo undertook a wedding coordination role. To ensure a flawless day with a relaxed bride and groom, we worked very closely with all required vendors to cover all loose-ends. Details are our speciality after all!
We
wish you both the very best in your life and Mr. and Mrs. Hyslop!
Every now and then we work with a bride that just trusts our artistic style and wants to be surprised ~ Christa was absolutely that bride. With no specific guidelines and a short timeframe to work within, Christa provided us with a color scheme and a reference to her favourite flowers and gave us the reins to run with it; talk about every florists dream! Christa confirmed that she was taking care of the centerpiences, but the bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages were up to us! Yahoo ~ go time!
In an effort to compliment Christa's passionate, fun-loving, yogi spirit I wanted to surprise her with something airy and whimsical. Christa carried a gorgeous summer bouquet of local white peonies accented with off-white orchids and white freesia. Her bouquet was finished with an airy greenery that tied it all together. Of course we can't forget that little bit of bling that every bride loves, so a little something sparkly was also added for that added "wow" factor. Christa's attendants carried a similiar smaller version of Christa's bouquet.
Lest we forget the second half of this dynamic duo, Justin and his groomsmen wore a classic calla and orchid boutonniere.
I'm continually reminded why I love what I do when I deliver the bouquets to the bride and am met with such positive and heart-warming compliments. I had the pleasure of enjoying a glass of champagne with Christa and her attendants when delivering the flowers ~ the relaxed and positive energy in the room was the perfect start to a perfect fairytale ending.
